20 years of DELF in Canada (2005–2025)

In 2025, the DELF (Diplôme d’études en langue française) is celebrating 20 years in Canada. Since its launch on November 1, 2005, the DELF program has continued to grow, becoming a benchmark for the certification of French proficiency for learners of French as a second or foreign language and a diploma recognized by students, teachers, and institutions.

This 20th anniversary marks an important milestone for the country's French-speaking and francophile educational community. It provides an opportunity to pay tribute to the commitment of the examination centres, teachers, examiners, and all the partners who have contributed to the DELF's success in all provinces and territories.
